The Israel Lobby in Action
"Pro-Israel" Establishment Silences Courageous Rabbis
Written by MJ RosenbergMJ Rosenberg Blog - I am not going to recapitulate the sad story of what happened at Congregation Bnai Jeshurun in Manhattan this week except to say that progressive Jews (and others) thought a new day had dawned when its rabbis hailed the General Assembly vote on Palestine. (Here is the New York Times story on that development.) But then, within two days, the rabbis at Bnai Jeshurun were forced to clarify following a firestorm of abuse, ginned up by the usual suspects. (Here is the New York Times story on the retraction.)
How the Israeli lobby works in the United States
Written by Tanya Cariina Hsu"...Several years ago, I found out how AIPAC worked, directly..."
Arab News - One of the most influential lobbying groups in America, it is often argued that no politician can be elected into office without AIPAC's support. No president can take the White House without affirming unbreakable allegiance to Israel, and attendance at the annual AIPAC meeting is mandatory. Once in office every member of Congress is expected to act, vote and defend the state of Israel on almost every issue, or face the consequences.

Possible New CIA Director Already Compromised? Jane Harman and Israeli Spying
Written by Alison WeirCounterPunch - It is astounding to find that one of the handful of prospects being floated to become CIA director following the fall of General David Petraeus is a person reportedly implicated in a 2005 Israeli spy scandal.
CNN, Politico, and others have all listed former Congresswoman Jane Harman as a potentiasal new CIA head. Oddly, however, none have mentioned reports in 2006 and again in 2009 that an NSA wiretap in 2005 had picked up Harman promising a suspected Israeli agent that she would aid people indicted for espionage on behalf of Israel.

Written by CNIIn a recent news interview, Alison Weir discussed the real author of the Balfour Declaration. Weir, who is president of the Council for the National Interest and executive director if If Americans Knew was one of three people being interviewed on the 95th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.
The others were Sameh Habeeb of the Palestine Return Center (speaking from London), and Mukhaimer Abu Sa’ada, a professor at the Gaza al-Azhar University, (speaking from Gaza). Weir was speaking from California.
"...Because of his increasingly significant political position, [Amery] was immensely influential in bringing about the success of the Zionist enterprise which eventually led to the establishment of the State of Israel."
U.S. Supreme Court refuses to hear Holy Land Five case
Written by CNIFightBackNews - The U.S. Supreme Court entered an order declining the appeal of the Holy Land Five, Oct. 29. This rejection comes with no explanation. The judicial appeal process ends here, but the struggle to free the Holy Land Five continues.
In anticipation of the Supreme Court decision, there was a Holy Land Five national day of action on Oct. 25. Solidarity protests involving hundreds raised awareness in Minneapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Tampa, Gainesville, San Jose, Salt Lake City, Albany and Dallas. New York City saw 75 people picket and conduct a successful press conference.
Congress hides Israeli telecom spying, permits ‘classified’ FISA evidence
Written by Tom FloccoTomFlocco.com - The French intelligence website reported that detained Israeli “art students” and “moving company workers,” strangely released by U.S. authorities after the worst attack on American soil in history were actually “employed by tech companies, military special forces, intelligence officers, explosive ordinance/combat engineers, electronic intercept operators and the son of an Israeli army general.” - ( IntelligenceOnline.com Paris, France )
More on Pro-Israel Analyst's: "Use False Flag to Start War With Iran" [Video and Analyses]
Written by CNIIn a recent insider speech before the powerful pro-Israel Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), Patrick Clawson suggested that a false flag incident be used to get the U.S. to attack Iran.
Clawson is a pro-Israel Middle East psuedo-analyst who often appears as a "pundit" on television news broadcasts; WINEP is a spinoff of the major Washington DC lobbying organization, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, who has failed to report on Clawson's startling remarks, used to work for WINEP. Before that Blitzer was "the voice of Israel," appearing on US TV and radio broadcasts to promote Israeli interests.
According to his off
icial bio, Patrick Clawson "is a widely published writer and media commentator, he has authored more than seventy articles about the Middle East and international economics as well as twelve books or studies on Iran. He appears frequently on television and radio, and has published op-ed articles in major newspapers including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post."
Clawson has testified before congressional committees more than twenty times and has served as an expert witness in more than a dozen federal cases. Before joining The Washington Institute, he was at the National Defense University's Institute for National Strategic Studies, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and at the Foreign Policy Research Institute.
The Israel lobby has been pushing for a war against Iran for many years.
For example, the Jewish Federation of New Jersey has a page with action items and resources, including a paper by Clawson, for its members to use against Iran.
In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Clawson was brought to speak on "A Nuclear Iran: A Threat to Humanity." The sponsoring organizations were the Community and Public Affairs Council of the United Jewish Federation; American Israel Public Affairs Committee; Anti-Defamation League; Bnai Zion, Pittsburgh Region; Greater Pittsburgh Rabbinic Association; Hadassah, Greater Pittsburgh Chapter; Holocaust Center of the United Jewish Federation; Pittsburgh Persian Gulf Initiative; Pittsburgh Chapter American Jewish Committee; Scholars for Peace in the Middle East; and Zionist Organization of America, Pittsburgh District.

For a video of the full WINEP program see Israel lobbyist hints that ‘Pearl Harbor’ may be needed to get US into war with Iran [VIDEO]. Below is a video excerpt from Clawson's recent speech and two analyses of his remarks.
The American Conservative - Scott McConnell has described the recent comments made by Patrick Clawson, director of research for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), an organization founded by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and closely tied to the Israeli government. Clawson heads WINEP’s Iran Security Initiative. As Clawson’s comments are both quite extraordinary and revealing of a certain mindset, they deserve to be shared with a wider audience. In a briefing on September 24, Clawson said, "I frankly think that crisis initiation is really tough, and it’s very hard for me to see how the United States … uh … president can get us to war with Iran … The traditional way America gets to war is what would be best for U.S. interests."
